This program, consisting of a capacity-building component and a board game focusing on axes of difference and intersectionality, power dynamics, and empowerment, proposes the use of play as a tool in the challenge against discrimination and social polarization—phenomena that are increasingly prevalent and manifesting in new forms today. Through game, it creates space for openness to diverse perspectives on complex issues such as discrimination and privilege, encouraging participants to reflect on their own perceptions, experiences, and behaviors.
Developed with the aim of promoting a pluralistic, democratic, and just society based on equality, the Play for Change board game highlights social inequalities and discrimination. It offers participants a space to test their knowledge on these themes, foster a pluralistic and constructive dialogue, and develop creative, rights-based action proposals—drawing inspiration from both fellow participants and the activists featured in the game. The accompanying training program includes activity suggestions, short texts, and resources designed to support and deepen efforts to combat inequality and discrimination.
