ANADOLU KÜLTÜR

Anadolu Kültür was founded as a not-for-profit cultural institution in 2002 when individuals from various fields in the art world, business world, and civil society came together to support the production and sharing of culture and art in cities across Turkey and abroad. Anadolu Kültür pursues its activities based on the belief that cultural and artistic exchange will help develop mutual understanding and dialogue, as well as overcome regional differences and prejudices. It also believes that a life enriched with culture will encourage discussions around concepts such as citizenship, identity, and belonging.

Anadolu Kültür aims to build bridges between different ethnic, religious, and regional groups by sharing culture and art, supporting regional initiatives, emphasizing cultural education and cultural rights, and establishing interregional collaboration. With a dream of a society that has managed to shed its prejudices, that finds nourishment and enrichment through differences, and where cultural diversity is not perceived as a source of conflict but wealth, Anadolu Kültür works in the following areas through local and international collaborations:

COORDINATION OFFICE for the MUNICIPAL INTEGRATION CENTERS (LaKI)

The Coordination Office for Municipal Integration Centers is responsible for advising and supporting the various Municipal Integration Centers (LaKI), as well as coordinating exchanges between them. It is connected to Department 37 of the District Government of Arnsberg and is based in Dortmund.

The main responsibilities of the Coordination Office include: Consultation – Assistance – Control

The Municipal Integration Centers cover two areas of activity:

  • Integration through Education
  • Social Integration as a Cross-Sectional Task
  • Integration of Refugees

The Municipal Integration Centers operate alongside existing municipal integration activities, and ...

  • regard integration policy as a cross-sectional task;
  • are responsible for building a network between relevant stakeholders in administrations, private bodies, and migrant organizations;
  • support the intercultural qualification/opening of organizations and educational programs aimed at young people;
  • aim to achieve transparency as well as coordinate the municipal integration activities;
  • advise and support newcomers from different professional backgrounds.
