MeloBE working group consists of musicians, actors, musicologists, students, sociologists, teachers and researchers.
The participants developed a structured music workshop design for facilitators who have no prior musical knowledge but are eager to experience music as a tool to bring children together, support them to explore their skills and experience collective learning without language barriers. They aim to support social cohesion by musical dialogue, individual and group creativity building methods.
The working group composed six completely new melodies. MeloBE group developed a series of video-tutorials around two of these melodies, including an additional, explainatory guideline for the facilitator. All videos work without verbal language, so that they can be used everywhere.
The ouput of MeloBe will provide the facilitator with two working modules around each melody. Each module offers a different tool to work with the melody: Body Percussion and Do-It-Yourself Instruments.
Through video-tutorials the facilitator and the children shall learn how to accompany and perform the melodies all together with these different tools. MeloBe tutorials will also open space for creating new tools themselves.
